Hemp oil is rich in omega fatty acids and vitamin E. It absorbs easily, nourishing and softening the skin. It gives the massage a warm, relaxing feel, which is why it is traditionally used on tired muscles. Long, flowing strokes work it in to dissolve tension, stiffness and fatigue: your body lets go and your skin is cared for at the same time.
It suits athletes, active people and anyone worn down by a desk job. Long, flowing strokes work over the whole body and linger where tension builds up. The pressure is gentle to medium, much softer than in a sports massage. You are massaged by therapists from Southeast Asia, trained at renowned schools there, a few steps from Old Town Square.

- WelcomeAt reception we welcome you with a drink that changes colour in front of you. You keep your underwear on (disposable underwear is ready if you prefer it), and on the massage table we cover you with a towel, so only the part of the body the therapist is working on is ever uncovered.
- Warm hemp oil and long strokesOn a warmed table, the therapist works the oil into your whole body with long, releasing strokes, first as you lie on your front, then on your back. She lingers where you feel tension, and one word is enough for her to adjust the pressure.
- Warm tea to finishAfter the massage, take a moment to rest over a cup of warm tea while the oil soaks into your skin.
Please arrive 15 minutes early, so you can start without rushing. During pregnancy, choose the gentler pregnancy massage instead, and with acute problems, postpone the massage.

Origins and tradition
Hemp is one of the oldest useful plants: in prehistoric Europe it was already grown for fibre for rope and cloth, and for its seeds, which were eaten and pressed for oil. In northern Thailand the hill peoples, above all the Hmong, still grow it for fibre. Hemp cloth carries ceremonial meaning in their tradition, and weaving a single piece can take a whole year. The oil we massage with here is pressed from the seeds, too.

Your questions about hemp oil massage
Does the oil contain THC or CBD?
The oil is not psychoactive. We use quality hemp seed oil, not a CBD extract, valued for its nourishing properties: its omega fatty acids and vitamin E nourish and soften the skin.
Is it a good choice after sport or a demanding day?
Yes, as a way to unwind: warm hemp oil and long strokes with gentle to medium pressure help ease muscle tension, stiffness and fatigue. It is not a medical treatment, though: if the pain doesn’t go away, please see a doctor. After a recent injury or surgery, or with blood clots, severe osteoporosis or serious cardiovascular problems, please check with your doctor first; the therapist will adapt the massage.
What colour is hemp seed oil?
Cold-pressed hemp seed oil is green to yellow. Its scent is gentle: sunflower and pumpkin seeds, nuts and hay.
Do I have to undress?
Yes, the oil goes directly on the skin. You keep your underwear on (disposable underwear is ready if you prefer it), and on the massage table we cover you with a towel, so only the part of the body the therapist is working on is ever uncovered. Does the oil have a strong scent?
No. Hemp oil has a gentle, natural scent that never overpowers. If you would like a distinct fragrance, choose the aromatherapy massage with an essential oil of your choice.
How is it different from a sports massage?
A sports massage works with deep pressure and targets specific muscle groups. A hemp oil massage is gentler: it releases the muscles with long, warm strokes, and the oil nourishes your skin as well. After a truly demanding sporting effort, choose the sports massage.
How long a massage should I choose?
We offer 60, 90 and 120 minutes. Even in 60 minutes the therapist works through your whole body. We recommend 90 minutes: the therapist has time for your back, shoulders and legs without rushing. 120 minutes has the deepest effect: more time to relax and for every area, not firmer pressure or extra techniques.
How much does a hemp oil massage cost in Prague?
At the ESCAPE salon in Prague 1, a hemp oil massage costs 2,090 CZK for 60 minutes, 2,590 CZK for 90 minutes and 3,090 CZK for 120 minutes. Hemp oil, a welcome drink and warm tea after the massage are included. You’ll find all our other massages in the price list.
Can I walk in without a booking?
Yes, if we have a free slot. But we are usually fully booked, so we recommend booking ahead: online in a few clicks, by phone on +420 734 331 444 or via WhatsApp.
How can I pay?
Online when you book (card, Apple Pay, Google Pay), or later at the salon by card or in cash (CZK or EUR). You can also pay with a gift voucher. Cash is 4% cheaper: the card fee we save goes to you.

You’ll find the ESCAPE salon a few steps from Old Town Square, at Elišky Krásnohorské 133/11, 110 00 Prague 1 (Josefov). The nearest metro station is Staroměstská (line A). We are open daily 10:00–22:00; please arrive 15 minutes early.
Can I give a hemp oil massage as a gift?
Yes. Buy a voucher for this massage, or credit of 2,000, 5,000, 10,000 or 25,000 CZK (from 5,000 CZK with 5–15% off). The PDF arrives by email right after payment. A printed voucher in an elegant gift envelope can be collected at the salon, or a courier brings it to you anywhere in the Czech Republic, usually within 2 working days, so you can hand it over in person. Valid for 12 months.
