4 min read Updated 5 Jul 2026 ESCAPE Thai Massage, Prague

A little preparation turns a good massage into a great one. It's nothing complicated — a few small things before you arrive will help you relax completely and get the most out of your massage. Here's what to keep in mind.

In short: don't eat heavy meals or drink alcohol in the hour before your massage, stay hydrated, arrive a little early in loose clothing, and tell your therapist about your state of health.

What to wear and bring with you

Come in comfortable clothing. For a traditional Thai massage you stay in loose clothes, which we can lend you if needed. You'll find a detailed list in the article What to bring to a massage.

Arrive on time and settle in

Come 10–15 minutes early. This gives you time to settle in calmly, have a welcome tea and get in the right frame of mind — which makes it easier to relax afterwards.

Tell your therapist about your condition

Before the massage, mention any health issues, injuries, medication and pregnancy. Your therapist will adjust the technique and intensity accordingly. When it's better to postpone a massage is summed up in the article massage contraindications.

Ready? Book your massage

We'll take care of the rest — from the welcome tea to tailored care.
